When Fear Creeps In: Holding On to Isaiah 41:10

When Fear Creeps In: Holding On to Isaiah 41:10

So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

— Isaiah 41:10

There’s something powerful about these words.

They don’t ask us to pretend we’re not afraid. They don’t shame us for feeling overwhelmed. Instead, they meet us right where we are—in the middle of the chaos, the confusion, the crushing weight of whatever this season is bringing—and they offer something we all crave:

Presence.

I am with you.
Not I might be, not when you get it together, not after you’ve proven yourself.
Just—I am.

That alone changes everything.

Because when fear creeps in, it likes to tell us we’re alone. That no one sees us. That we have to handle it all by ourselves. But Isaiah 41:10 is God gently reminding us: You don’t.

You don’t have to be the strongest.
You don’t have to have all the answers.
You don’t even have to hold yourself together.

Because He’s holding you.

There’s such beauty in that image—being upheld by His righteous right hand. It’s steady. It's unwavering. It's not dependent on how good we’ve been or how bad we’ve messed up. His strength is not conditional. His help is not limited.

It’s there. Constant. Faithful. Unshakable.

So when your knees are buckling under pressure…
When your heart is racing with anxiety…
When the unknown feels louder than your faith…

Come back to this verse.

Let it settle your spirit. Let it remind you that even in the darkest valley, you are not alone.
And even if your circumstances don’t change overnight, you are being carried through them.

That’s the kind of peace the world can’t offer.

Isaiah 41:10 isn’t just a verse—it’s a promise.
A lifeline.
A whisper from heaven that says: “You are not alone. I’ve got you.”

And maybe, just maybe, that’s all we need today.
