πŸ“ Your Report

βœ“ Report received! Thank you for helping keep the community safe.

For life-threatening emergencies always call 911 first. This form is for weather observation reporting only.

πŸ“‹ What Makes a Great Report

πŸ“
Be Specific About LocationInclude cross streets, highway mile markers, or nearby landmarks. "Near Hwy 61 and Elm St in O'Fallon" is far more useful than just "St. Charles County."
πŸŒͺ️
Tornado vs. Funnel CloudA tornado touches the ground. A funnel cloud is aloft. Note which you observed and the direction it was moving.
⚑
Hail Size MattersCompare to common objects β€” pea, dime, quarter, golf ball, baseball. Pick up a piece to measure if safe to do so.
🌊
Flooding DepthEstimate water depth over roads using landmarks β€” "water halfway up stop sign post" or "covering front porch steps."
🌬️
Wind DamageNote what was damaged β€” tree limbs, fences, power lines, roofs. Estimate the diameter of fallen trees if possible.
πŸ”’
Safety First AlwaysNever put yourself in danger to make a report. Shelter in place during a tornado warning. Report after the storm passes if needed.
